What do we study?

Our aim as a department in key stage 3 is to build on the skills and the knowledge and understanding our learners have gained in key stage 2.  We aim to provide experiences that make history enjoyable, interesting and important.  We believe that history’s role is to create good citizens through researching into the main political, economic, social and cultural attitudes of past societies.

In key stage 3 pupils at Ysgol Uwchradd Tregaron study period of a millennium between the years 1000 and the year 2000.


As well as studying periods and events in history, Ysgol Uwchradd Tregaron’s pupils develope essential skills through out their studies.
